MOTD! So much studying lately, I decided to take a break and do a makeup look. Dodgy quality webcam photos, but what you gon do? Now I don’t claim to be a makeup artist and I have never done a course, but I’d love to post more makeup looks just so I can share all the knowledge and tips I have accumulated over the years. To some its all kind of lame, but to me its fun! Also thinking of making a Blogspot soon.. we’ll see! So anyways, this is my bold red lip look!
Whats on my face (in order of application):

Rimmel Eyebrow pencil in Dark Brown + Revlon Matte eyeshadow in Rich Sable (for a more natural finish)
MAC eyeshadow in Shroom (browbone and tear duct)
MAC eyeshadow in Kid (all over the lid)
MAC eye pencil in Ebony
Maybelline Colossal Volum’ Express mascara
MAC blush in Gingerly
MAC Mineralise Skinfinish Natural in Dark (used as a bronzer)
MAC lipstick in Ruby Woo + Loreal Studio Secrets lip pencil in Red
I am currently obsessed with thick and filled in eyebrows! Unluckily for me, I have really thin, barely there eyebrows and its a hassle filling them in all the time. If I don’t get it right I end up with angry eyebrows! lol.
Also, here are my secrets to the perfect red lip!
-Make sure your lips are exfoliated and smooth. You can apply a light coat of lip balm if your lips are a bit dry before you apply your lipstick.
-I use Sally Hansen Lip Inflation Xtreme underneath my lipstick for a full and plump pout (it also helps for smooth lipstick application). If you want a matte lip, I suggest applying this before you start your makeup and then blotting your lips with a tissue to get the gloss off your lips before applying lipstick.
-Apply your lipstick. You can do the whole blot and then reapply thing. If you want a red lip that lasts all night you can fill in your lips with your red lip liner before applying your lipstick.
-Once your lips are filled, take your lipliner (make sure its sharp first!) and carefully trace around the line of your lips. For these photos, I drew a little bit outside the line of my lips to make them appear bigger! But its really not necessary.
-If you are worried your lipstick may bleed after a while, you can take a clean angle brush, dip it in your concealer and line your lips carefully. Make sure its not too thick otherwise you will be able to see it!
And thats it! May seem like a lot of steps compared to just a swipe of lipstick but really it only takes a little extra time. Bold lips are always huge in Winter!

So happy Ralph finally has weekends off work! It gives us a chance to do more shoots. I’ve been wanting to do a shoot by some railway tracks for a while now and luckily the weather last Saturday was so nice! We decided to give our photos a “walking home after a big one” kind of feel. But then I just wanted some fun photos.
And then I got to do my thing behind the camera :)
